<p>You are not a victim of life but a co-creator of your reality.  This Pisces Moon is here to guide you to create the life you deserve to live.  Don’t fall victim to the emotional turmoil of Pisces.  Instead, utilize this Pisces Moon to help you on your journey by facing and embracing whatever comes up during this Moon.  When we can really accept where we are now right now, we become empowered by knowing we can change it any moment we choose.</p>

<p>Often, it’s easy to love ourselves and yet we can be our own worst critic. Depending on your background and the beliefs you acquired as you&#8217;ve grown, you might vary in this area, but I urge you to take a self-assessment to see how well you love yourself. First, stand in front of the mirror and look at your hair, skin, body, eyes and smile. Do you like what you see? Are you happy with your physical appearance? If not, start writing in a journal to see where those disapproving feelings come from. Express your feelings so that you can address them and change your beliefs.</p>
<p>Next, take time to write a list of all the character traits that you like about yourself. What are your skills and unique talents? If this proves difficult, then ask a friend to help you to see the shining light radiating from within your spirit. Sometimes other people can see the best in us better than we can.</p>
<p>Loving ourselves is not a practice in selfishness or narcissism. The importance of loving yourself is that you feel whole and complete within your spirit. When you love yourself, you are thankful for the blessings in your life. Focusing on your assets and positive qualities allow you to overcome your challenges and unfulfilled desires.</p>
<p><strong>Develop Inner Core Emotional Strength</strong></p>
<p>The New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Cancer on July 1, 2011, gives you the opportunity to embrace the necessary changes that this eclipse is triggering. This eclipse will shake your world inside and out to clear your path to help you grow. This is a time when we can make big changes depending upon our reaction to this energy. Where is your attention focused? What do you want to resolve and release? What do you want to create?</p>
<p>Now is the time to focus on what your subconscious is bringing to the surface and face it. The emotional, empathic energy of Cancer will assist you in dealing with unresolved emotional issues that have been hiding below the surface. It is time to focus on self mastery and look inside for your answers. You have the support of your Creator, your inner courage and strength to find success in this shift.</p>
<p><strong> </strong><strong>Self Mastery, Awareness and Mindfulness</strong></p>
<p>Self Mastery is changing the way you create your life. Through self awareness you can change your life but you cannot expect to change what you are not aware of. Self awareness provides the clarity to choose whether you express emotions of love or express emotions out of reactions of fear. Self awareness provides the possibility to catch yourself in that moment prior to saying something destructive or even thinking a negative thought. Self awareness is the means to identify your unconscious patterns and raise them in your consciousness so they can be changed. It is through self awareness that you identify and change the underlying core beliefs that drive destructive behaviors and create happiness.</p>
<p><strong> </strong><strong>Be Mindful – Be in a Great Place. Start here</strong></p>
<p>Self-nurturing is taking care of YOU.  Many people put themselves at the bottom of their own list of priorities. The result is burnout, exhaustion and resentment. We are unable to be at our best if we don’t take time out for ourselves to rest, relax and renew.</p>
<p>Self-nurturing does not have to be difficult or overly time-consuming. Anything that helps us feel more positive and joyful is self-nurturing. Think about simple pleasures that speak to you personally and incorporate them into your life each and every day. Some ideas for you to consider:</p>
<ul>
<li>Be Grateful. Keep a Gratitude Journal. Write down 5 things you are grateful for each day</li>
<li>Surround Yourself with Positive People</li>
<li>Practice Kindness and Compassion</li>
<li>Give Praise and Let Go of Criticism</li>
<li>Stop  Complaining</li>
<li>Listen to Music and if you can Dance</li>
<li>Exercise Choose something you really enjoy, why not try a type of mind/body/spirit exercise   like yoga or tai chi</li>
<li>Volunteer and/or Donate your time or belongings</li>
<li>Seek New Experiences and Knowledge (why not try a holistic therapy such as acupuncture or that store you’ve always wanted to go in, but never took the time)</li>
<li>Follow Your Bliss. Tap into your creativity, gifts and talents.</li>
<li>Read a Good Book or Watch a Great Movie</li>
<li>Laugh! It is the best medicine</li>
<li>Seek Solitude at least 15 minutes daily through meditation or prayer</li>
<li>Use Positive Affirmations</li>
<li>Spend Time with Your Pet(s)</li>
<li>Get Out in Nature. Try a walking meditation in the warm sunshine, spending time near the water, cloud watching or enjoy a beautiful sunset</li>
<li>Get a Massage or Reiki/Healing treatment. Touch can be very healing</li>
<li>Practice Relaxation Techniques/Relaxation techniques</li>
</ul>

During the day take advantage and prepare for this strong energy by clearing out and tying up loose ends to old issues or old projects. Open your heart to change and avoid starting anything new until the New Moon occurs in the evening.</p>
<p>So how do you open your heart? You can genuinely open our heart when you escape from your thoughts, emotions, ego and attachments. When the desire to define yourself is diminished, you can say you have truly opened your heart. Experiencing an open heart, will open doors to receive the love you long for while strengthening your connection to your true self. Here is a brief lesson for your guidance.</p>
<p><em>Where the mind goes, energy flows</em>. If your mind is full of negative thoughts or old emotions, energy gets stuck and stagnated. It becomes more and more difficult to see your way clear. Energy needs to flows naturally and will occur when we clear our minds by opening up the chest meridians. The Fourth Chakra, also known as the Heart Chakra, is located behind the heart toward the middle of the chest. It links and integrates the energies of the mind and body together. It encourages wholeness, boundless love, centeredness and empathy. A calm mind loosens the chest and facilitates the flow of energy. When activated, you can experience a sense of pure love and compassion from a centered and balanced place.</p>
<p>By opening the energy pathways of the chest and heart through exercises and breath work, you can activate your heart center to achieve greater mental and physical harmony. Breathe!! The amount of air you inhale will increase and your breathing will deepen after you have exhaled all the air in your lungs. By lengthening each exhalation, you can release unwanted stagnant emotions and baggage.</p>
<p>The following exercises will teach you how to relax your mind by relaxing your body. This will open your heart center. Repeat each set four times.</p>
<ul>
<li>Using your finger tips, lightly tap your entire chest area. Experiencing tenderness especially in the center of your chest is normal. Continue to tap in that area.</li>
<li>Sit in half lotus and lock your fingers behind your back. Inhale and bend your upper body forward from the waist while lifting both arms up behind you toward the back of your head. Exhale while slowly returning.</li>
<li>Sit on your knees. Place your palms together with your arms extended out in front of you. Inhale, opening your chest as you stretch your arms out to the sides as far as possible with your palms facing forward.</li>
<li>Sit half lotus. Place both hands in the prayer position in front of your chest. Inhale. Open your hands and extend your arms as far as possible at chest level. Focus on expanding your chest, keeping your spine lengthened while holding your breath. Gently pull your shoulder blades toward each other and hold for five seconds. Exhale and bring your hands together back to the prayer position. Inhale and slowly pull your arms apart as far as you can, with elbows bent and wrists flexed. Face your palms toward the sky with your shoulders and hands parallel.</li>
<li>Sit in half lotus position with your thumbs and index fingertips touching. Focus on your heart, breathing slowly and gently. Imagine energy connecting the heart and expanding as you breathe. Continue for about 15 minutes. You will feel your heart becoming stronger and stronger</li>
</ul>
<p>The New Moon sets the stage for setting new goals, hopes and wishes. I suggest writing in a journal within 48 hours after the New Moon. The optimal time would be within the first 8 hours.  Please avoid the following timeframe August 10<sup>th</sup> 12:10pm pst – 4:01pm pst as the Moon goes void of course. If you’ve missed the opportunity within the first 48 hours, you can resume writing your new goals, hopes and wishes after 4:02pm pst on August 10 through 5:04 pm pst  on August 11<sup>th</sup>, 2010.</p>
<p><strong><em>Some suggested goals or wishes as it relates to this New Moon might be:</em></strong></p>
<p>“I easily attract and experience a healthy, happy romantic relationship”</p>
<p>“I easily find myself re-entering the dating scene in a way that is successful for me”</p>
<p>“In a relationship I easily find myself being who I am so I can stay involved in the relationship that encourages my spiritual, emotional and physical well being”</p>
<p>“I easily find myself rising every morning with enthusiasm for the coming day”</p>

<p>Have you asked yourself?&#8230;“<em>What have I been made aware of through this shift and healing event that I need to change about myself”?</em></p>
<p>Now is the time to focus on removing all emotional responses from your internal dialog.  Be truthful with yourself, open your heart and mind while setting this intention. You will experience a strong sense of accomplishment and the drive to finally move forward to achieve your goals.</p>
<p>This full moon cycle moving in Aquarius offers a wonderful opportunity to release all the issues that came up for you during the past two July eclipses. Your emotions will now move into intellectual thoughts giving you the experience to become the conscious observer in your life. Take advantage of this powerful opportunity to lighten your load. <em> </em></p>
<p>From today moving into the full moon event on Sunday, July 25, 2010, take the time to write down all your old pains, any resistance to change, past buried issues, even anger if applicable and prepare to “burn” your list after the moon is full.</p>
<p>I will be your support and agent of change. I am so excited to be able to share this opportunity with you.</p>
<p>Be gentle and loving with yourself. You are given only what you can handle. Although this is a powerful time to create shifts, there will be plenty of future opportunities to grow and create the change you so desire..</p>

In actuality, all souls are perfectly pure and complete. However, many things can mask the expression of the soul.</p>
<p>It is common to confuse your emotions with the soul, as though they were the same. Your spirit is the one perfect, unchangeable part of you. Your feelings, on the other hand fluctuate constantly.</p>
<p>Your soul is like pure water contained in a glass. You can mix many things into the water, but it always remains water.</p>
<p>When people speak of a good soul or a bad one, they usually base this judgment on a person’s emotional expression rather than on the soul. A good soul generally refers to someone who exhibits a bright, positive personality.</p>
<p>By contrast, hardened criminals might be called bad souls, because they succumb to their darkest impulses. Yet, neither kind of person has an unhealthy soul. Someone may have an unhealthy mind but that does not affect the condition of the soul. Even the most unpleasant, anti-social person possesses a brilliant and beautiful spirit.</p>
<p>For this reason, I recommend letting your soul rather than your emotions be the controlling element in your life.</p>
<p>Through spiritual guidance, healing, meditation and breathing, you can rid yourself of these emotions. If you can peel away the layers, you can ask yourself what makes you truly, not temporarily, happy.</p>

<p>The following exercise is not to see how well you can track your thinking or feelings, but to give you the experience of being the conscious observer of yourself. Believe it or not, you are the thinker, not your thoughts or feelings.</p>
<p>Go to your sacred space. Plan to sit comfortably, undisturbed for 15 minutes and complete the following excerise:</p>
<ul>
<li>Take a few slow, deep breaths.</li>
<li> Turn your attention to your thoughts. If you are dealing with an emotional issue, focus on that emotion.</li>
</ul>
<p>Instead of getting caught up in your thoughts or feelings as you would usually do, watch them closely. For example, if you where a tennis player watching the ball or an artist painting a canvas. If you find your attention wandering, come back to the task at hand.</p>
<p>At first, your mind may seem like wall to wall thoughts or emotions, and you may have difficulty determining where one thought leaves off and the next one begins. You may also find that certain thoughts or emotions keep recurring like a popular song. For example, repetitive worries or your favorite images or fantasies. If you’re especially attentive, you may begin to notice that each thought or emotion has its own parts, including a beginning, middle and an end.</p>
<ul>
<li>At the end of the 15 minutes, stop and reflect on your experience.</li>
</ul>
<p>Did you experience some “distance” from your thoughts or emotions? Or did you keep losing yourself in the thinking process?</p>
<p>As you begin to gain some perspective on your thoughts through the practice of meditation, you will find that they start losing the power they once had over you. You can have your thoughts and feelings, but they won’t have you.</p>
<p><strong>What is the difference between thoughts and feeling?</strong></p>
<p>Feelings occur as a set of recognizable sensations in your body. When you’re angry, for example, you may feel tension in your shoulders and jaw and experience a rush of energy in the back of your head. When you’re sad, by contrast, you may feel heaviness in your chest and heart. Through meditation, you can discover how to experience your feelings directly as sensations, separate from thoughts and stories that perpetuate them.</p>
<p>Thoughts are the images, memories, beliefs, judgments and reflections that float through your mind and often give rise to your feelings. If you follow the word “feel” with “like”, you’re probably voicing a thought or a belief, rather than a feeling. You can practice breaking strong feelings down into their component parts by asking, what are the thoughts and images in my mind that keep me feeling the way I do? What am I actually experiencing in my body right now, aside from my thoughts?</p>
<p>Thoughts not only generate feelings, they often masquerade as feelings, (so you won’t actually feel the ones you have) attempt to talk you out of your feelings, judge your feelings, or suppress them entirely. The more you can recognize your thoughts and feelings, the more clearly and consciously you can relate with and express your inner experience and hear your true self.</p>

It is a simple and effective form of meridian energy therapy. Some call it “emotional acupuncture” but without the needles. You may not have heard of it, and it looks weird. The good news is&#8230; it works!</p>
<p>We will be tapping with our fingertips on certain key natural comfort points on the body. While tapping, we will state a truth about how we feel along with a positive affirmation. I call this “The Power of Positive Tapping.”</p>
<p>We start by tapping on the karate chop point. I use the tips of all four fingers of my right hand to tap the outside of my left hand. Use the same pressure you would use if you were tapping on a table to make a drumming sound. Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap. If you have long fingernails, use the pads near the end of your fingers to tap.</p>
<p>Next, we move to the top of the head and then we&#8217;ll work down the body, making the points easy to remember.</p>
<p>Use the fingertips on one or both hands to tap the top of the head. Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.</p>
<p>The eyebrow points are located at the beginning of the eyebrow, nearest the center of the face. I use the index and middle fingers together, on both hands, to tap the two eyebrow points. Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.</p>
<p>The side of the eye points are located on the bone at the side of the eye. It&#8217;s not so close to the eye that it feels like you&#8217;re poking yourself, and not so far away that you are tapping at the temple. Using the index and middle fingers together, tap on both side of the eye points at the same time. Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.</p>
<p>The under the eye points are on the bone located under the eye about even with the pupils. Using the fingertips of the index and middle fingers, gently tap this spot under both eyes. Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.</p>
<p>Now tap under the nose with the index and middle finger of one hand. The spot is roughly midway between the bottom of the nose and the top of the lip. Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.</p>
<p>The chin point is not really on the chin; it is mid-way between the bottom of the lower lip and the chin, in that indentation area. Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.</p>
<p>The collarbone spots are located about one inch down and over towards the outside of where a man would tie his tie. I use four fingers together on each hand to tap the collarbone spots. Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap. An alternative is to pat both spots at the same time with the flat of one hand, with about the same pressure as you would pat a baby&#8217;s back to help it burp.</p>
<p>The under the arm point is located about 4 inches below the armpit. I lift my left arm and use the four fingers of my right hand to tap under my left arm. Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.</p>
<p>Additional tip: I often find that returning to the top of the head helps the round feel complete. You can end repeated rounds at any point. You can start at the eyebrow or top of the head. You can leave out points, too. Remember that the energy system is connected; each point you tap resonates throughout the system. I also encourage you to learn to use your intuition early in your use of EFT.</p>
